Fruity Rice Cake Owls

A fun, healthy Snack Box food craft activity

At Snack Box we believe healthy food should be simple, affordable and fun.


These fruity rice cake owls are one of our favourite creative snack ideas. They are perfect for after school, breakfast or a quick activity that builds confidence in the kitchen.


Designed to support fine motor skills, independence and trying new foods, this activity is always a hit in our community sessions.


Ingredients

  • Rice cakes
  • Peanut butter or any nut butter
  • Banana
  • Blueberries
  • Apple slices
  • Whole grain Cheerios

How to Make Your Rice Cake Owl

  1. Spread peanut butter onto one side of your rice cake.
  2. Add two banana slices and place a blueberry on each to create the eyes.
  3. Place thin apple slices on either side for wings.
  4. Add a few Cheerios in the centre to create feathers.
  5. Cut small triangles of apple for the beak and feet.
  6. Enjoy straight away.
